HOUSTON, TX – An early-morning tractor-trailer accident shut down all lanes along US-59 early Friday morning, KTRK reports.
The incident took place shortly after 5:30 a.m. along the Southwest Freeway near the SH-288 interchange.
It is still unclear what caused the driver to lose control in the roadway. Photos from the scene depict the white box truck with significant front-end damage blocking all lanes.
Crews were able to open two lanes for traffic in the moments immediately following the crash. All three lanes were reopened shortly after 7 a.m.
