HOUSTON, TX – Multiple Houston police vehicles were involved in a collision along the Eastex freeway Saturday night, ABC 13 reports.
The accident took place at about 9:45 p.m. within the inbound side of the freeway as the officers were blocking traffic at the scene of a prior collision.
Officers say the unidentified female driver careened into the rear of one patrol car, forcing it into the rear of a second. Both officers were outside of their vehicles at the time of the crash.
The woman in the at-fault vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. It is still unclear what caused her to lose control of her vehicle.
