HOUSTON, TX – An overturned semi-truck blocked all outbound lanes on the Southwest Freeway during Friday morning’s rush-hour traffic.
According to ABC 13. the truck flipped over at about 6:50 a.m. along the freeway near the Highway 288 interchange.
The driver told police he believed the load was not secured properly, causing the truck to overturn and spill its contents across the roadway.
Luckily, no one was injured as a result of the crash. However, traffic was backed up for miles while crews worked to clear the scene. The truck was flipped back upright by 10 a.m. although, delays persisted until the early afternoon.
