HARRIS CO., TX – One man died and another was arrested after a motorcycle slid on spilled oil near Katy early Tuesday morning.
According to KHOU, the incident took place before 2 a.m. within the 2400 block of Greenhouse Road, just outside of Cullen Park.
Investigators with HCSO say the driver of a Ford Mustang collided with a median, causing his vehicle to leak oil across over a mile of the roadway before he came to a stop. Shortly after, a motorcyclist hit the oil and crashed into a roadside ditch.
The motorcyclist, whose identity is being withheld at this time, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver in the Ford showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody. It is unclear what charges he may face at this time.
