HOUSTON, TX – A truck fire in southeast Houston caused major delays for commuters on I-45 earlier this week, ABC 13 reports.
The fire was reported on May 24th at about 10:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-45 near the Almeda-Genoa Road overpass.

It is still unclear what may have sparked the fire. However, photos from the scene show the tractor-trailer resting on the median with serious fire damage to the front end.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. All northbound lanes were closed for some time after the incident while emergency crews worked to extinguish the fire and clear the roadway
