KATY, TX – Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s office responded to a multi-vehicle hit-and-run involving a DPS trooper on Thursday morning.
According to a report by Click 2 Houston, the crash was reported at about 8:12 a.m. at the intersection of Peek Road and Beckendorf Road.
Investigators say the driver of a stolen van went through the stop sign and collided with the trooper’s vehicle. The van then flipped over in the roadway. The driver was able to get out and flee the scene on foot.
Fortunately, the troopers was not seriously injured in the crash.
