FABENS, TX – One man is dead and several others injured after a race car plowed into a crowd of people Sunday night, according to KVIA.
The collision occurred at a mud-track race event at around 6:30 p.m. in the 17600 block of Island Guadalupe Rd. According to investigators a vehicle left the track, broke through a guard rail, and into the crowd. Three other vehicles were also involved.
Willie Valadez Ramirez, 21, was the man who died. Of the 29 people injured, three are listed in critical condition.
