News: Update: Police charge man for fatal crash on 7100 South Loop

HOUSTON, TX – A man has been charged with the fatal crash that took place on the eastbound South Loop on Thursday, reports the Houston Police Department.

Aaron Stephon O’Quinn, 25, was speeding when he lost control of his black Mercedes-Benz and collided with a gray GMC Sierra driven by an unidentified 25-year-old male. The force of the impact sent the GMC off the roadway and into a concrete pillar. The crash launched the driver from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

O’Quinn struck a concrete retaining wall after the collision with the Sierra.

O’Quinn did not show signs of impairment at the scene. He was hospitalized following the crash. Officers are charging him for his role in the crash and he will be taken to jail upon release from the hospital.
