HOUSTON, TX – A person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the Eastex Freeway on Monday afternoon, reports the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on the 11400 block of the Eastex Freeway at around 12:04 p.m.
A Toyota 4runner and a Ford Ranger were both heading south on the Eastex Freeway when the Toyota rear-ended the Ford.
The force from the collision caused the Toyota to go off the road and strike a concrete barrier before coming to rest on the outside shoulder.
The Toyota’s driver was taken to Houston Kingwood Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at around 12:50 p.m.
The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the accident.
