HOUSTON, TX – Two people were killed and two others were injured following a collision on Beaumont Highway on Sunday evening, reports KTRK.
First responders received reports of a multi-vehicle collision around 5:30 p.m. and were dispatched to 15706 Beaumont Hwy.
Police believe that the driver of a grey passenger vehicle lost control of the car, which entered the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a red pickup truck.
The two occupants of the grey car died at the scene. The pickup’s driver was taken to an area hospital, while a passenger was treated at the scene.
Investigators have determined that the driver of the pickup truck was intoxicated at the time of the crash, and have charged that individual with DWI.
