HOUSTON, TX – Two people were killed, including a two-year-old child, when a wrong-way driver slammed into a family’s car on the Eastex Freeway on Sunday morning, reports ABC News.
A woman was driving south in the northbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway when she collided with a vehicle occupied by a family of five near the intersection with the 610 Loop at about 3 a.m.
A two-year-old died, while the rest of the family were hospitalized in serious condition. Their current conditions are unknown at this time.
In addition to the two-year-old child, the driver of the wrong-way vehicle also died in the accident. It is not clear at this time if impairment played a role in the crash.
Police are still investigating the incident.
