HOUSTON, TX – A man was fatally struck by a vehicle while running away from a man chasing him in a food store parking lot on Saturday evening.
According to a report by HPD, the incident occurred at about 7:45 p.m. within the 10300 block of West Bellfort Avenue.
Investigators believe the 55-year-old male victim was fleeing from another man who was chasing him with a knife. The victim ran into the street and was hit by a white Ford Fusion.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The driver of the Ford remained at the scene. It is unclear if they will face any charges at this time.
