HOUSTON, TX — One person was killed early Tuesday morning in an apparent train collision on Calvacade Street near the Ryon neighborhood in northeast Houston, according to KHOU11.
The fatal incident occurred near the intersection of Calvacade Street and Schalker Drive shortly after 4:00 a.m.
No details have been disclosed on the circumstances behind the crash, but the victim was discovered on the tracks under the train.
Calvacade Street was shut down as Houston police officers and Union Pacific officials responded to the scene.
Authorities projected several hours before medical examiners would be able to remove the victim’s body.
