HOUSTON, TX — One person died Wednesday morning in a crash involving a pickup truck in northwest Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the crash happened at 1800 Blalock Road at approximately 5:23 a.m.
HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division said a gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was northbound on the road when it slammed into a Toyota Corolla going east on Campbell Road.
A victim who was sitting in the Toyota’s front passenger side died at the scene.
An early investigation shows a defective traffic light at the intersection, and reduced visibility caused by weather conditions, may have factored into the crash.
An investigation remains in progress. No charges have been filed as of this writing.
