HOUSTON, TX — A 69-year-old man died Friday evening after being hit by a vehicle while crossing a street in Houston’s South Side neighborhood, according to Houston Police Department.
The fatal incident occurred at 6400 Cullen Boulevard on November 12 at approximately 6:55 p.m.
According to HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division, the victim was crossing a road using a walking cane and was not in a marked crosswalk. A male witness said he was driving southbound on the road when a vehicle in front of him suddenly veered to the left, prompting the witness to swerve. Shortly after, the witness saw the victim lying in the roadway.
No other witnesses have come forward, and authorities have not released any other information on the event.
An investigation remains ongoing.
