HOUSTON, TX – A 67-year-old man died following a car crash that took place just north of Chinatown shortly after noon on Monday, according to the Houston Police Department.
Sergeant P. Lee and Officer D. Vinton report that the victim was driving west in the 9300 block of Pagewood Lane when he suffered a medical emergency that rendered him unable to keep the vehicle in a single lane. The vehicle then drifted off the road and crashed into a flowerbed on the north side of the street.
Paramedics rushed the man to HCA Houston Healthcare West where he was pronounced dead. Medical professionals believe the victim could have suffered a heart attack just before the fatal accident.
An investigation is sill underway.
