HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, an impaired driver fatally collided with a wrong-way driver on the 3500 block of Gulf Fwy Monday.
At around 2:25 a.m., the driver of a Toyota Corolla was heading north in the southbound lanes of the Gulf Fwy when he collided head-on with another vehicle. The Toyota Corolla then exited his vehicle and was struck by a Buick that was weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds.
First responders transported the driver of the Buick to an area hospital after he told officers he had been drinking.
Neither of the two occupants of the car the wrong-way driver struck was injured in the incident.
