HOUSTON, TX — One person was hospitalized Tuesday evening after crashing their motorcycle into a stopped ambulance on Interstate 45 near downtown Houston, according to Click2Houston.
Houston police said the accident occurred near West Dallas Street shortly before 5:38 p.m.
An early investigation indicates a Houston Fire Department medic unit was stopped in traffic when it was struck by the motorcyclist. Shortly after, the motorcyclist was hit by another vehicle.
Authorities said medics traveling in the ambulance rendered aid to the rider. The victim was then rushed to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
