HOUSTON, TX — A 46-year-old man died Tuesday morning after his motorcycle was struck by a pickup truck in Houston’s Southbelt/Ellington area, reports Houston Police Department.
The collision occurred at 9100 South Sam Houston Parkway East service road at around 5:20 a.m.
HPD’s Vehicular Crimes and Clear Lake Patrol Division said the victim’s black Yamaha motorcycle with no headlights on was stopped on a moving lane of the service road when he was struck by a GMC Sierra.
Medics rushed the motorcyclist to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, where he later died from his injuries.
The the driver of the pickup truck told officers he had not seen the motorcyclist in the road. Investigators did not suspect him of impairment.
