PASADENA, TX – One person is dead following a crash on Hwy 225 Thursday morning, reports Click 2 Houston.
The incident happened on the part of Hwy 225 near Texas Beltway 8 sometime around 5:20 a.m.
According to responding officers, the crash involved two vehicles, one of which was a Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep Wrangler is believed to have rear-ended the other vehicle, which was sitting in the center lane. That vehicle may have been stalled, as its warning lights were activated.
By the time the officers arrived, both cars were on fire.
The struck vehicle’s sole occupant died after becoming trapped in the wreckage. That person’s identity has not been disclosed.
The driver of the Jeep was treated by medical personnel at the scene and was then released. Police believe he may not have seen the victim.
