HOUSTON, TX – A stranded motorist was fatally struck by a vehicle on the 610 Loop on Friday night, reports Fox 26.
The victim’s car broke down in the eastbound lane of the 610 South Loop freeway where it intersects with Stella Link Rd at around 10:30 a.m. All the lights of the vehicle were turned off.
The driver then exited his vehicle and was running when he was struck by a vehicle. He died at the scene.
The driver who struck the man showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with the officers. Charges are not expected to be filed against them.
