SPRING, TX – An 81-year-old woman was killed after the ambulance in which she was being transported was involved in a major collision last Friday night.
According to ABC 13, the accident occurred at about 11 p.m. within the intersection of TC Jester Boulevard and Cypresswood Drive.
Investigators believe the driver of an unspecified vehicle ran through the red light and slammed into the ambulance as it was traveling through the intersection.
All three occupants in the ambulance, the 81-year-old female patient, the driver, and the paramedic were rushed to a nearby hospital. Two people inside the other vehicle were also hospitalized in unknown conditions.
Unfortunately, the female patient, whose identity is being withheld at this time, succumbed to her injuries later on.
