HOUSTON, TX — A man died early Sunday when his motorcycle crashed into the back of a truck on East Freeway near the Marwood neighborhood in east Houston, according to Houston Chronicle.
The fatal accident took place on 1453 East Freeway and was first reported by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shortly after 6:30 a.m.
According to authorities, the rider was ejected from his bike in the crash and may have been struck by another vehicle while on the ground.
The accident left only one outbound lane open as emergency personnel responded.
A preliminary investigation found high speed to be a factor in the crash.
