HOUSTON, TX — Three men died Friday night after being struck by a teen driver while working valet for a west Houston restaurant, according to Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The incident occurred on Fairdale Lane near Fountain View Drive shortly after 10:30 p.m.
Houston police said a 17-year-old boy driving an Infiniti G37 luxury sedan was doing donuts in a parking lot when an an officer spotted him. The teen driver sped away after the officer turned on the patrol car’s emergency lights.
Moments later, the officer was able to locate the driver and discovered the teen had fatally run over three valet workers employed at a nearby restaurant.
Authorities confirmed all three victims died from their injuries.
The driver and a passenger in the Infiniti were transported to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after the vehicle crashed into a ditch.
A spokesperson with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office said the teen faces three counts of murder, with likely additional charges.
An investigation remains in progress.
