SPRING, TX – A pickup truck ran a red light and collided with a food truck on Friday night, reports KHOU.
First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Stuebner Airline Rd and Louetta Rd after receiving reports of the collision around 10 p.m.
The driver of the pickup truck lost control of the vehicle and struck a curb before colliding with the food truck. The propane tank attached to the food truck was sent flying from the force of the impact.
Customers at the scene rushed to get away from the path of the food truck as it was pushed in their direction following the collision.
One employee inside the food truck suffered serious burns on her back after falling into a fryer full of hot oil. Two other employees also suffered burn injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was ticketed for running a red light after being hospitalized.
