HOUSTON, TX — A 77-year-old woman died Wednesday afternoon after her pickup truck struck a tree near George Bush Intercontinental Airport in north Houston, according to Houston Police Department.
Authorities said the accident took place at 5600 Will Clayton Parkway at approximately 1:15 p.m.
The woman was at the wheel of a white Ford Ranger pickup truck heading eastbound on Clayton Parkway when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer to the left of the roadway and hit a tree in the median.
The woman was transported to HCA Houston HealthCare Kingwood where she died from her injuries.
An investigation remains underway.
