Passenger dies after high-speed two-vehicle crash in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A woman died Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle accident in Houston’s Hidden Valley neighborhood, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

HCSO deputies responded to the scene in the 300 block of West Gulf Bank Road shortly after 12:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation shows a maroon Cadillac CTS was speeding eastbound on the road at the same time a gold Lincoln Town Car was westbound. The Cadillac failed to maintain a single lane and spun counter-clockwise as it veered into the westbound lane. The Lincoln then struck the Cadillac at a right-side angle.

Authorities said the male driver and a female passenger of the Lincoln suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals. Shortly after arriving at a hospital, the female passenger was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the causing Cadillac was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

An investigation by the HCSO’s Vehicular Crimes Division was underway.
