HOUSTON, TX — A woman was hospitalized Sunday evening after a hit-and-run crash on the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston, reports KHOU11.
The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Griggs Road shortly after 8:15 p.m.
Authorities say the woman ran across the freeway, which prompted a man driving a pickup truck to brake hard. The sudden movement impacted three other nearby vehicles.
The female pedestrian was struck by another driver, who then continued driving without stopping to render aid.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
