HOUSTON, TX – A man was hit and killed by a semi truck while crossing the I-610 North Loop on Sunday afternoon, the Leader reports.
Police say the unidentified man was attempting to cross the freeway just east of Shepherd Drive at about 2:30 p.m. on January 16 when he was hit by a westbound semi truck towing a refrigerated box truck.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, where he died that evening. The Harris County medical examiner is working to verify the man’s identity before next-of-kin is notified.
