HOUSTON, TX — A man died Saturday night after being struck by a speeding pickup truck with no headlights on near Houston’s Edgebrook neighborhood, reports ABC13.
The crash happened in the 9200 block of Clearwood Drive west of the Gulf Freeway at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Investigators say the male pedestrian was crossing Clearwood Drive when a white pickup truck fatally hit him.
Witnesses recalled the truck driving at high speed and that it did not have headlights illuminated.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to police, the causing driver stayed after the crash and cooperated with the investigation.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office is to determine whether or not the driver will face charges.
