HOUSTON, TX – A woman was struck and killed as she walked along State Highway 6 near the Addicks Reservoir on Wednesday night, according to a report filed by the Houston Police Department.
The 40-year-old victim’s identity has not been verified at this time.
The fatal collision happened at about 9:45 p.m. on January 19. Police say the woman was walking on the far right side of the road in an area surrounded on both sides by trees when she was hit first by a blue Toyota Corolla and then by a black Dodge Journey.
Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Both drivers stopped and cooperated with police, who do not believe they were impaired.
Investigations are ongoing.
