HOUSTON, TX – A fatal crash was reported at 12600 Gulf Fwy Thursday, according to HPD.
The 21-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was speeding on northbound Gulf Fwy when he lost control of his vehicle near the Fuqua exit. He then collided with multiple road signs, a Chevrolet Equinox, and the base of a light post. The impact caused the truck to roll over and eject the driver.
First responders were dispatched to the wreck at 1:05 p.m. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene and transported a 24-year-old passenger from the Silverado to an area hospital with lacerations to his head. The female driver of the Equinox was not taken to the hospital.
