HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Three people suffered injuries after a car T-boned a Houston Fire Department ambulance near Atascosita on Wednesday morning.
According to ABC13, the incident occurred on Farm to Market Road 1960 East near Kings Parkway shortly before 9:00 a.m.
A witness said the emergency vehicle had sirens blaring as it approached the intersection, where the light was red. As it was advancing through the light, it was T-boned by a gray car. The ambulance rolled over onto the ground, striking a nearby car at the intersection.
Three people in the ambulance, including the patient, a paramedic, and the driver, were transported to a nearby hospital. Their condition has not been disclosed.
Authorities said the paramedic and the ambulance driver had been able to quickly evacuate the patient from the vehicle after the crash.
