Two in critical condition after apparently intentional collision in Spring

SPRING, TX – Two people are in critical condition after their car was struck in an apparent road-rage incident resulting from a domestic disturbance, reports Spring Happenings.

Police responded to reports of a collision on Forest Elms Drive in the Thicket At Cypresswood neighborhood around 5:30 p.m. last night. Witnesses reported that a sedan was struck by an SUV at over 70 MPH on Blue Lake Drive, causing the sedan’s driver to lose control of the vehicle and collide with a nearby flatbed trailer. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the driver of the SUV is the husband of the woman who was driving the sedan at the time of the collision.

Both occupants of the sedan had to be cut free from the frame of the vehicle by firefighters and were taken to hospitals in critical condition.  The driver and passenger of the SUV are facing charges of aggravated assault on a family member and aggravated assault respectively.
