HOUSTON, TX — A male pedestrian was killed Monday evening after being struck by a hit-and-run driver near the Westfield Estates area in north Houston, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision occurred in the 1800 block of Hopper Road near the Exeter Street intersection at around 6:22 p.m.
The man was walking down Hopper Road when a westbound vehicle struck him and fled the scene without providing aid to the injured pedestrian.
The victim suffered critical injuries and was discovered deceased at the scene by first responders.
The Vehicular Crimes Division with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident.
