Wrong-Way Collision With Ambulance Kills 2 in W Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Two people are dead and two others are severely injured after a wrong-way driver collided with a private ambulance on the Westpark Tollway early Saturday morning, reports Click2Houston.

It was about 5 a.m. when a black Chevy Equinox crashed into a private ambulance on the Westpark Tollway where it passes over Fondren Road. First responders declared two people dead at the scene and transported one passenger of the wrong-way vehicle to a hospital in critical condition.

Deputies believe the civilian driver was speeding at the time of the collision.

It is also believed that there was no patient in the ambulance when the wreck happened.
