HOUSTON, TX — Eleven people, including four children, were injured Saturday morning in a multi-vehicle accident on the Katy Freeway near west Houston, according to ABC13 Houston.
The collision occurred on the outbound lanes of the freeway (IH-10) near Barker Cypress Road at around 7:00 a.m.
A preliminary investigation shows a gray Honda experienced a mechanical issue and stalled in the roadway, leading to a chain-reaction crash involving six vehicles.
Houston Police said eleven victims were transported to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
The outbound freeway was shut down in the area for nearly three hours during the response.
No further information has been disclosed at this time.
