Passenger Dies After Impaired Driver Collides With Tree Near Cypress Chase

CYPRESS, TX – A female passenger died after an impaired woman crashed into a tree on Telge Rd near Cypress North Houston Rd Friday.

According to KTRK, Arely Razo, 26, was driving at excessive speeds when she collided with a curb, causing her to lose control of her vehicle and slam into a tree.

First responders were dispatched to the crash site around 2:09 a.m. They pronounced Razo’s passenger dead at the scene of the accident and transported Razo to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police Razo and the victim had been drinking at a bar earlier. Officers arrested Razo and charged her with intoxication manslaughter.
