HOUSTON, TX – Two people lost their lives in a multiple-vehicle crash in north Houston on Monday night, reports ABC13.
A Dodge truck was travelling westbound on Little York Road around 7:10 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median into oncoming traffic at Bannister Lane. The Dodge then collided head-on into a Kia which caromed into a tow truck that was towing another vehicle.
A female passenger in the Dodge was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The driver of the Kia was also killed in the collision, but it is unclear whether or not they were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries at an unspecified hospital.
Police are still investigating the situation, but authorities believe that the Dodge’s high speed may have played a major role in the crash.
