HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A man died Monday, three days after being struck by a semi-truck near Houston’s Cypress Station neighborhood, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on the 80 block of Farm to Market Road West at approximately 12:37 a.m.
An initial investigation indicates the man ran into lane 2 from the roadway’s south side and was hit by the front of a west-bound Freightliner Coronado that was hauling a semi-trailer.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died.
Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment.
An investigation by the HCSO Vehicular Crimes Division remains underway.
