HARRIS CO., TX – A man in a wheelchair was fatally struck by at least three vehicles in hit-and-run near Westfield this morning.
According to KHOU, the man was crossing in the 800 block of FM-1960 near Imperial Drive at about 6:30 a.m. when he was hit.
The force of the initial impact sent the victim flying into the roadway, where he was hit by two additional vehicles. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the first vehicle that struck the man initially fled the scene. A female suspect and her vehicle were later returned to the scene. However, she claims she was not involved in the crash.
