NEW WAVERLY, TX – A driver and passenger are dead after their vehicle slammed into a semi-truck on the section of I-45 between New Waverly and Huntsville, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
The crash occurred on northbound I-45 near the 106-mile marker. Multiple emergency crews were dispatched to the area at around 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
Both the driver and passenger of the car dead when emergency responders arrived on the scene. Authorities set up a temporary traffic control zone to protect emergency crews as they work the scene.
The condition of the semi-truck driver is unknown.
