HOUSTON, TX – A driver is dead after they lost control of their vehicle on Grant Rd and slammed into a tree early Tuesday morning, reports the HCSO.
At around 2:30 a.m. the driver was heading west in the 1200 block of Grant Rd, failed to negotiate a turn, drove into the median, and crashed into a tree. The force of the impact rotated the vehicle counterclockwise, and it came to a stop in parts of both the median and the westbound lane.
First responders pronounced the victim dead once at the scene.
The Vehicular Crimes Division of the Harris County Sherriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
