HOUSTON, TX – A man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while stopped on the North Loop early Sunday morning.
According to ABC 13, the crash occurred at about 2:20 a.m. along I-610, near Kirkpatrick Boulevard.
Police say the Honda Accord pulled onto the side of the road to let the occupants switch seats when another vehicle slammed into the side of the stopped vehicle.
One occupant, an unidentified man, was standing outside of the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
The driver of the second vehicle immediately fled the scene. No further information regarding their identity is available at this time.
