HOUSTON, TX — A 36-year-old man died early Tuesday in a single-car crash on West Loop North Freeway in northwest Houston, according to Houston Police Department.
The fatal accident occurred in the 700 block of the freeway near the Washington Avenue Coalition/Memorial Park area at around 3:20 a.m.
An investigation shows the man was driving northbound in a white Honda Accord when he drifted out of his lane and hit a concrete barricade.
HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division said the victim was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He died from his injuries at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved, and no one else was injured.
An investigation was underway as of Tuesday.
