HOUSTON, TX – A woman was rushed to the hospital after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in west Houston on Sunday morning.
According to KHOU, the woman was leaving a parking lot at about 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Hilcroft Avenue when she was struck by a dark-colored vehicle.
The driver continued down the road without stopping to render aid to the victim. She was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Police say the woman was crossing outside of the designated crosswalk when she was hit. Her identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
