RICHMOND, TX – A 18-wheeler spilled thousands of cases of bottled water after being struck by a train in a downtown railroad crossing on Wednesday.
According to a report by ABC 13, The accident took place within the 100 block of North 2nd Street, near the intersection with Calhoun St.
Police received calls of a stalled tractor-trailer on the tracks. Moments later, a train collided with the container at a high rate of speed, sending bottles of water flying across the roadway.
Fortunately, no one was hurt as a result of the crash. It is still unclear why the truck was stopped at the crossing.
