HOUSTON, TX – The name of the victim killed in the Sugar Land crash involving an 18-wheeler on Saturday morning has been released, reports Click 2 Houston.
At around 7 a.m., an 18-wheeler hauling produce was heading north on the U.S. 59 frontage road. As the 18-wheeler approached the intersection with Crabb River Rd, it collided with a pickup truck.
The collision overturned the 18-wheeler and caused both vehicles to catch on fire.
The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene of the accident. He has been identified as Edwin Bath.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was able to escape his vehicle uninjured.
The cause of the collision is still not known at this time.
