HOUSTON, TX – A fire at a group home in the Alief community of Houston seriously injured a woman early Wednesday morning, reports News 4.
Firefighters were dispatched to the home, which is near the intersection of Concho St and Leawood Blvd, after receiving reports of a fire at approximately 4 a.m.
Seven of the eight people inside the home were able to exit the building on their own. Firefighters entered the home and found a woman trapped inside.
The woman was revived by EMS workers and rushed to an area hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
