HOUSTON, TX — One person was killed Sunday after a T-boned collision caused by a suspected DUI driver on the Southwest Freeway feeder road in Houston.
According to KHOU11, the crash occurred on the stretch of the Southwest Freeway service road at the Fountain View Drive intersection at around 3:15 a.m.
Authorities said a woman ran a red light at the intersection and T-boned an Acura TL going east.
The driver of the Acura was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the sole passenger was transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
It is unclear whether or not the causing driver was injured, but police confirmed she was taken into custody and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
